Economic Perspectives on Violent Conflicts and Peacemaking

Geneva, 18-22 October 2010 - Application deadline: 30 September 2010

The training is organized in partnership with the Graduate Institute' Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).
 
The course welcomes professionals from
- international organizations,
- NGOs,
- the military,
- the private sector,
- academia.
 
It aims to equip participants with:
- knowledge and tools to effectively address the economic dimensions of peacebuilding,
- an overview of various economic strategies to exit violent conflict and and strengthen peacebuilding.
 
Sessions will be facilitated by Graduate Institute professors and researchers and by USIP experienced trainers.
 
The course language will be English.
 
The tuition fee is 2 500 Swiss francs.
 
A course certificate by the Graduate Institute and USIP will be awarded upon completion of the course.
