Executive Course on Global Health Diplomacy 2009

24 participants from 18 different countries all around the world have successfully completed the 2009 Executive Course on Global Health Diplomacy. Participants included health experts from a variety of backgrounds and organisations, including international and regional organisations, NGOs, philanthropic organisations and the private sector. They were able to develop and deepen their knowledge on issues on global health diplomacy and governance. The course included a mix of presentations and practical skills learning in the form of working groups and role play to foster an environment of active participation. The 2009 core faculty drew on the expertise from within the Global Health Programme, but were joined by leading experts from internationally renowned academic institutes, the WHO, diplomatic learning institutions, public-private partnerships, and NGOs. The next executive course will be held in June 2010 in Geneva, other courses with a regional outreach will be hold in different parts of the world.
