The Global Health Diplomacy training worldwide was built on a long-term partnership approach since the launch of the first course. Partner institutions are invited to attend the flagship course held each year in Geneva. As a result of this partnership and the involvement of both faculty and participants from partner institutions, Brazil, Kenya and Thailand have begun to develop their own courses. China and Indonesia have requested the Global Health Programme to collaboratively work with them to implement executive courses on Global Health Diplomacy. These courses follow a tripartite partnership model in which the faculty is composed by members of the host country or region, the GHP, and a third country relevant to the region. This overall approach ensures on the one hand ownership and on the other hand high relevance and impact. Cooperation also exists with partners in the USA and Canada.
