Miriam Faid, a German national with Eritrean and Norwegian background, joined the Global Health Programme as a research assistant in January 2009. She is a Ph.D. student (Political Science) and working on a comparative analysis on the efficiency and sustainability of Brazil’s and India’s South-South development cooperation models in Africa. She holds a M.A. in Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Bremen. Miriam has professional experience on the German, European, and international level due to work stations at the German Parliament, the Northern-German Mission at the EU, and the German General Consulate in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, amongst other. Her move into the global health arena was paved through work experience at GAVI Alliance before she joined the Global Health Programme. She is also the teaching assistant of Prof. Kickbusch’s master course on Global Health Diplomacy at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. specialisation:
