David Gleicher
David Gleicher is project officer for Global Health Europe at the Global Health Programme. In his current role, he is responsible for the development phase of Global Health Europe, a think tank in creation aiming to strengthen the European voice in global health governance. His core activities include events planning and management, strategic communication, networking and knowledge sharing, content development and maintenance of the Global Health Europe website, as well as assisting in research and analysis and the production of publications.
David holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance and a Bachelors degree in Chinese and Development Studies from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies. His main areas of interest include global health governance, the European Union as a global health actor, institutional reform and communications. His professional experience includes work at the World Health Organization's office at the EU, a think tank in Germany, a NGO in China as well as the private sector in the US, the UK and China. In previous positions he has worked on EU-UN relations, EU-China relations, HIV/AIDS prevention in marginalised populations and public relations for non-profits.
