Priyanka Kanth

Priyanka Kanth is a research associate at the Global Health Programme. She works on various projects related to global health diplomacy- tracking multilateral negotiations on key health issues in health and non-health fora; contributing to the Health Diplomacy Monitor; assisting in writing various teaching and academic material. Key areas of research include the processes of international negotiations on health issues, the role and power of the emerging economies in health-specific negotiations, notably India and on areas of trade and health. In addition, she contributes to the masters’ course Global Public Health as a teaching assistant.

 

Priyanka holds a Msc. in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from London School of Economics & Political Science, and from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Previous work concentrated on the role of pharma in healthcare provision including working at an NGO, at the MDR-TB Partnership (public-private partnership by Eli Lilly & Co on Multidrug-resistant Tuberculosis), and at the IP-cell of a generic drug company in India.
