Dr. Jordi Tejel Gorgas has been awarded a Professor boursier by the Swiss National Foundation for his project entiteled States, Minorities and Conflicts in the Middle East: A Comparative Study of the Durability of States, Regimes and Dissident Movements in Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey, 1948-2003. He will be joing the International History and Politics Unit in September 2010. 

Two Research Assistantships for 2010-14 are open for the HPI PhD students ( 1st or 2nd year as of the 2010-11 academic year) within this project. More info for applicants
