Recommendations

We recommend that students...

  • consult their Graduate Institute emails on a regular basis ;
  • notify Student Services of any change of address ;
  • respect timetables and arrive in classrooms a few minutes prior to the start of lessons ;
  • switch off mobile phones and any communication devices during classes and in the Library ;
  • respect quiet areas such as the Library (including its computer room) ;
  • adhere to regulations governing the use of IT and communication
    technologies (emails, Internet, etc.) ; 
  • respect IT material available in the Library and in classrooms ; 
  • refrain from smoking in indoor public spaces ; 
  • follow closely safety standards and instructions ; 
  • regularly attend conferences and other events organised by the Institute ; 
  • respect the diverse backgrounds of fellow students and colleagues, and divergent points of view.

Students’ rights, in particular the right to appeal a decision, are laid out in the Academic Regulations.
