Academic Information

Working Languages

The official working languages of the Institute are English and French. All students are expected to have a working knowledge of English and at least a passive knowledge of French. Students without any prior knowledge of French, who have requested a waiver of the French language requirement, will be expected to attend a French course organised by the Institute for three weeks prior to the start of the semester and throughout the first semester.

Some compulsory courses may be taught in French starting in the first semester. Students may choose to express themselves, orally and in writing, in either language.

Course Handouts

Unless otherwise stated, course handouts must be ordered directly from the Imprimerieminute (copy service). Academic staff will provide the relevant course codes at the start of the semester.
