Elisa Codato holds a master's degree in Global Health from the University of Geneva and bachelor degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Trieste (Italy). Prior to joining the Global Health Centre, Elisa worked at the International AIDS Society, where she oversaw the development of the community and leadership component of the 23rd International AIDS Conference, bringing the voices of the communities most affected by HIV to the conference. She has experience working in the NGO sector in the field of advocacy, research and event planning. The focus of her past work was on maternal and newborn health, as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights, which is one of her main areas of interest. She has extensive experience in organising large events and international conferences in the field of global health, attracting a diverse audience, from community leaders, to activists, members of the scientific community and political leaders.
