Rahul holds a PhD in Development Economics and a Master in International Economics from the Graduate Institute. His doctoral research incorporates three distinct essays on financial inclusion, gender discrimination, and human capital acquistion in response to economic shocks, respectively. His primary research fields are development economics and applied econometrics, while he also utilizes methodological approaches from behavioral and experimental economics.

At the CCDP, Rahul is the post-doctoral research fellow and project co-coordinator for the project on Curbing Illicit Financial flows (IFFs) from Resource-Rich Developing Countries with Prof. Gilles Carbonnier.
