The Young Activists Summit seeks to change mindsets about global issues, advocate for change towards a better future, empower young figures defending sustainability or human rights, and help them achieve concrete results. In line with the global conversation marking the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, the second edition of the Summit (#YAS20) will focus on the intergenerational dialogue and essential values of the post-coronavirus era: sustainability, solidarity and resilience. #YAS20 will shine a spotlight on young activists from around the world who have made a remarkable difference to advance a better world.
At a critical time for our planet and humanity, the Young Activists Summit will serve to examine how the unprecedented disruption caused by COVID-19 could provide a gateway to advance sustainability, solidarity and resilience.
The Award Ceremony will bring together outstanding activists, experts, public figures and decision-makers to foster a solution-oriented dialogue across generations on such issues as climate change, gender equality, sustainable fashion, peace and inclusion.
The event moderated in English will be livestreamed and will be preceded by a Youth Session (15 to 25 year olds only) from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the auditorium Ivan Pictet. More information on activists and speakers will be provided closer to the date.
