Alessandra is a PhD student in International Relations/Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Her research focuses on the politics of sovereign debt management in times of crisis--a topic that she addresses through the lenses of complex systems theory and by means of computational and quantitative methods. During her doctoral studies, Alessandra has been a teaching and research assistant at the Institute, and a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan’s Center for Political Studies. She holds a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Pavia and a Master in Comparative and International Studies from ETH Zürich.
