VISITING PROFESSOR, INTERDISCIPLINARY PROGRAMMES

Simon J. Evenett is Professor of International Trade and Economic Development at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, the leading business school of the German-speaking world. He is also academic director of its MBA programme, a post he has held for over 9 years. Professor Evenett is an expert on protectionism and coordinates the independent trade policy monitoring service, the Global Trade Alert. He was educated at Cambridge and Yale universities. Previously he has taught at the University of Michigan, Rutgers University, and Oxford University. Recently, he was twice DLA Piper Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University.  Professor Evenett has served as a Reporting Member of the UK Competition Commission and on the Warwick Commission on the future of the World Trade Organization, among other engagements in public service.
