Our last "Ask Me Anything" career event of the semester is with Diego Cimino, a young Italian diplomat currently serving at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York. He is responsible for multilateral cooperation to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement. He is also Italy's focal point for engagement with UN agencies.

More about Diego:

Diego is currently serving at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York. He is responsible for multilateral cooperation to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement. He is also Italy's focal point for engagement with United Nations agencies.

Prior to joining the Mission in New York, he served in Rome at the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, where he was Head of Section for the relations with International Organizations and Global Funds devoted to development issues.

In 2017, he was featured in the Forbe’s List of “30 Under 30 – Law & Policy” as the youngest Italian diplomat of that year and, in 2020, he was featured in Capital Italy’s “Next 40” in the “Institutions and Community” category.
