The GGC warmly welcomes five new visiting fellows and research associates.
Every year, the Global Governance Centre welcomes visiting fellows and research associates at various stages in their careers, situated in and working across a range of disciplines but all committed to critically examining global governance practices.
This semester, the GGC warmly welcomes the following new visiting fellows and research associates into its midst:
Dr. Janne Mende is a Senior Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, where she is currently conducting research on the governance authority of state, inter-state, and non-state actors in the United Nations and the European Union. She is particularly interested in the issue areas of business and human rights.
Lasse Ramson is a PhD Candidate in Law from the University of Bremen, whose work investigates the interaction of legal orders in the global realm and the law of politics.
Laura Schenker is a PhD Candidate in International Relations/Political Science at the Geneva Graduate Institute, presently researching the rising importance of cities in global governance architectures and the diffusion of urban policy programmes.
Dr. Emrys Schoemaker is currently a senior researcher and consultant analysing digital transformations in global and humanitarian affairs. On this theme, he has notably conducted work on the use of digital ID systems and associated policies in partnership with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Dr. Zbigniew Truchlewski is presently a postdoctoral researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he is part of the ERC SOLID project that studies policy crises and crisis politics in the context of the European Union.
A site of academic excellence located in the heart of International Geneva, the GGC is a unique and obvious point of passage for global governance scholars. In turn, whether by actively attending the GGC’s Global Governance Talks or contributing to its academic blog The Global, visiting fellows and research associates add to the vibrancy and dynamism of the Centre. Diverse in their backgrounds and trajectories, they equally enrich the transdisciplinary spirit of the GGC, strengthen its commitment to inclusivity, and deepen its international connectedness.
