Marie Lobjoy is a Master’s Student in International Affairs specialising in Global Security at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID). Her research interests include critical security studies, post-colonial theory and military interventionism in the MENA and Sahel regions.

Marie is a Student Researcher at the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP). She simultaneously works on the SNSF PRIMA project “A child of its time: the impact of world politics on peacebuilding” and a book project on R2P.

Before joining the Graduate Institute, she completed a six month internship as the Assistant to the Head of the Euratlantic section of the International Relations Bureau at the French Land Forces Headquarters.

Marie holds a bachelor’s degree in European Politics from King's College London. She completed her bachelor thesis on the impacts of international liberalism in the 2011 military intervention in Libya and its outcomes.
