Add to Calendar

In our next research seminar we will focus on COVID-19 in Brazil. In the first part, Dr Marcos Cueto and Dr Gabriel Lopes will present their forthcoming research, which draws on theoretical insights from the social history of medicine to provide an initial historical assessment of the Brazilian response. Their presentation will examine the nexus of populist rhetoric, institutional obstacles, and social inequality, which has defined the ongoing response. Following their presentation, Dr Katerina Hatzikidi will provide comments and we will then open the floor for discussion with the audience.
