A Global Online Meeting
The AI Negotiation Forum 2026, organised in a partnership between Frontline Associates, Harvard University, the Geneva Graduate Institute, INALCO and DECRIPT, the European Negotiation Association, the Université de Sherbrooke and the AI for Good, is a global online gathering of researchers, practitioners, and diplomats dedicated to exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming negotiation and diplomacy.
Beyond showcasing tools and technologies, the Forum aims to:
- Map the current state of innovation,
- Identify opportunities and risks,
- Define a forward-looking agenda for teaching, research, and institutional practice.
Featuring Interactive Sessions
The Forum will combine keynote panels, peer-led discussions, and interactive sessions designed to foster exchange between experts in diplomacy, technology, and policy. Participants will:
- Engage with leading voices from academia and practice,
- Share emerging insights, and
- Examine real-world applications of AI in complex negotiation settings.
Applied Research on AI in Negotiation
Co-organised by leading academic and policy institutions, the AI Negotiation Forum highlights the ways AI is reshaping bilateral and multilateral negotiations.
A central goal is to identify the new skills required for practitioners—ranging from technical literacy and ethical awareness to adaptive communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration—while setting priorities for research and teaching.
Thematic tracks include:
- Integrating AI into complex negotiations
- Teaching and training on the use of AI in negotiation
- Next-generation AI systems for negotiation
- Learning to negotiate with and from AI
- Responsible, accountable, and ethical use of AI in diplomacy
- Impact of AI on trust, culture, and cross-cultural sensitivity
- Risks of over-reliance, de-skilling, and alienation
Call for Contributions
The organisers invite proposals that advance understanding of AI in negotiation and diplomacy. Contributions may address conceptual, empirical, pedagogical, or policy-oriented questions.
