You are warmly invited to join our Research-Practice Exchange.
In recent decades, African countries have made significant progress in advancing children’s rights and protection across the continent, yet instability and political violence raise concerns regarding the realisation of such rights, especially as available funds are constantly directed towards responding to crises and emergencies.
This exchange will connect state-of-the-art research on child rights with policy makers and practitioners to jointly examine the progress made so far, as well as the challenges and opportunities with regard to protecting children’s rights.
Hosted by the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding, speakers will include:
- Maimouna Ba, Founder of Foundation Maman Sahélienne for Peace and Solidarity
- Amalia Daka, Advisor, Partnerships & Alliances for Children with the United Nations
- Stanislas Mazibo, Human Rights Defender
- Christelle Molima, PhD, Researcher
- Cailtin Procter, PhD, Researcher
