Engaging Armed Groups: Reality or Utopia? The answer in general is clear: Utopia.
Drawing from 20 years of practice in the field, Elisabeth Decrey Warner, in a conversation with Prof. Marco Sassòli, will share her experience on how her goal of engaging armed groups for a better protection of civilians became a reality. This event, co-organised by the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) and Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), will be moderated by Prof. Keith Krause and will be held in English and French. Ambassador Thomas Greminger, GCSP Director, will open the event. Afterwards, Elisabeth Decrey Warner will sign her book "Une femme sur les terres des rebelles".
