You are invited to join us and the Global Health Initiative for the hybrid Inspire Students Alumni Roundtable - Ask the Experts: Navigating a Career in Global Health on Wednesday, March 11th from 12:30-13:30 CET, either on Webex or in room S7.

Following the roundtable, a networking coffee break will be offered until 14:00.

Here are the panelists:

  • Jean Abboud (MIS ‘10) is Principal Legal Counsel at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund) and is specialised in institutional and corporate governance matters. He is a member of the New York and Quebec bars. Prior to joining the Global Fund, he worked at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and in a leading Canadian law firm. He has co-authored multiple book chapters and is regularly invited to speak at various events, on topics related to international organisations.
  • Damien Somé (MIA ‘14) is an External Affairs Senior Manager at the Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP). He is also currently on secondment to the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), where he serves as Programme Lead in Philanthropy and Emerging Markets. During his studies, he interned as an Assistant to Legal and Economic Advisers at the Permanent Mission of Burkina Faso to the UN, WTO, and other IOs in Geneva. He was then a Research Fellow at the Africa Progress Panel, before joining UNICEF in 2018 as a Partnerships Specialist (Private Sector), and later as a China-Africa Partnerships Consultant for UNICEF’s China Country Office in Beijing.
