The Institut de Droit international at 150: A Documentary

(Duration: 60 minutes, French and English with subtitles)

The Institute of International Law is the oldest organisation in its field, and its publications and resolutions constitute an indispensable reference for research and practice in International Law.

We show here, for the first time, a documentary produced on the occasion of its 150th anniversary  and we discuss it with an eminent panel of experts to reflect on the history of the Institute and the challenges of the future.

The documentary features contributions from, among others, Georges Abi-Saab, Lucius Caflisch, Hilary Charlesworth, Gilbert Guillaume, Rosalyn Higgins, Martti Koskenniemi, Xue Hanqin and Abdulqawi Yusuf.

The screening and panel discussion will be followed by a reception hosted by the IDI.
