About the Event

The Global Health Centre at the Geneva Graduate Institute is pleased to invite you to a webinar on how laboratory networks operate in practice, and the implications this has for the design of the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing (PABS) system. The webinar will begin with a concise overview of existing practices among WHO-coordinated laboratory networks, followed by a moderated discussion with practitioners from regional and global lab networks.

  • Maria Van Kerkhove, Acting Director of the Department of Epidemic and Pandemic Threat Management at the World Health Organization (WHO)
  • Anne von Gottberg, Laboratory Lead for the Centre for Respiratory Diseases and Meningitis at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases in South Africa
  • César Metzger, Head of the Biology Division, Board Member, Spiez Laboratory
  • Conrad Chan, Senior Principal Scientific Officer Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA), Singapore
