The global fertility rate is making headlines.

After decades of global panic about a crisis of "over-population“, today many countries have falling fertility rates, and policymakers are sounding the alarm over a “population collapse”.

The 2025 State of World Population Report, titled “The Real Fertility Crisis”, examines the causes and consequences of these
trends. In every country, regardless of fertility rate, the most consequential reproductive decision a human being can make –
when, whether and with whom to have a child – is being undermined.

Join our launch event on how to pursue reproductive agency in high and low fertility countries.
