In their talk, Felix Peerboom and Lilian Tsourdi examine transformations in contemporary global migration governance, with a particular focus on the effectiveness, robustness, and democratic credentials of the UN Global Compacts on Migration and on Refugees. Their work draws from original conceptual and empirical research in the framework of the three-year, Horizon Europe-funded research project ENSURED. Vincent Chetail and Madeline Garlick discuss this work, providing expert insights from scientific and policy perspectives.
