Pesticides Then and Now: Historical Perspectives on Contemporary Regulations and Risks

Have our understanding and use of pesticides genuinely improved compared to the past, or are we repeating patterns we can't yet see? Bringing together academic researchers and professionals working in NGOs, institutional and regulatory bodies, agriculture, and environmental and public health, the event Pesticides Then and Now aims to foster an exchange between historical perspectives and contemporary expertise. By fostering a dialogue across disciplines and sectors, the event aims not only to disseminate research findings but also to test their relevance against current expertise and to inform future research directions and public debate on pesticide use and agricultural sustainability.
