The world is in crisis - geopolitical turmoil, a global economic downturn, climate change, a lasting pandemic – all of which are having a negative impact on the world of work and societies. Meanwhile the world of work is being transformed by mega-trends such as technological development, demographic shifts and globalization. We are at an inflection point. The world needs a strong and sustained dose of social justice if we are to meet the Sustainable Development Goals we have set for ourselves.

The Director-General of the International Labour Organization, Gilbert F. Houngbo, will discuss the challenges facing the world of work and his vision towards decent work and social justice.

This public event will be moderated by Dêlidji Eric Degila, Professor of Practice of International Relations at the Geneva Graduate Institute, and will be bilingual in English and French.
