This online event is part of a series of academic events throughout Switzerland to celebrate the 70th anniversary of HCR and the 1951 Convention for Refugees. The scope of these discussions with leading experts in the field of international refugee law is to seize the opportunity to discuss, reflect upon and question the current refugee protection regime.

Guy S Goodwin Gill is Professor of Law at UNSW and Acting Director of the Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law.
Sergio Carrera is Senior Research Fellow and Head of Justice and Home Affairs unit at CEPS. He is also Professor at the Migration Policy Centre (MPC) in the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence (Italy).
Perveen Ali is Senior Policy Advisor /Team Head of the Global Compact on Refugees Coordination Team
