We invite you to join us for the hybrid Inspire Students Alumni Roundtable titled “Success Stories Uncovered. Meet the International History & Politics PhD Alumni” on Wednesday, March 27th from 12:30 - 13:30 CET, either on webex or in room S5. This event takes place in collaboration with the International History & Politics Department and is part of the programme of this year’s Alumnae-i Month.

Following the roundtable, a networking break will be offered until 14:00.

Here are the panelists:

Se-Young-Jang

Se Young Jang (PhD IHP’17) currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Vienna. She has built an illustrious academic path that spans across renowned institutions such as Seoul National University, Harvard Kennedy School, Leiden University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Beyond academia, she has also ventured into the realm of public service, notably serving as a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and as a United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs Fellow.

Jaci-Eisenberg

Jaci Eisenberg (MIHP’09 & PhD IHP’14) is the Head of Transformation, Forum Foundations at the World Economic Forum. During and following her graduation from the Institute, Jaci explored diverse professional arenas, ranging from teaching at the prestigious Smith College and contributing to historical and communications work at the International Labour Office and the World Trade Organization. Jaci joined the Forum in 2016 and has since then held various positions, such as Head of Academic Engagement, Head of Knowledge Communities, and Head of Metaverse Content.

Luca-Lamorte

Luca Lamorte (PhD IHP’17) is currently serving as a Communications Specialist at the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines. Mr Lamorte started his career as a copywriter and content producer in the private sector, before moving to Geneva to pursue his PHD under Professor Hanhimaki. After a few years with the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Kofi Annan Foundation, he took on the role of Head of Social Media at the International Organization for Migration. His career trajectory demonstrates the seamless integration of his PhD in IHP with his proficiency in digital communications, culminating in his adept amalgamation of both fields throughout his various roles.

About the Inspire Students series: The Alumnae-i Office is organising a series of thematic roundtables aimed at connecting current students and alumni of the Institute around shared interests and to share experiences.
