SUPPORTING AGROECOLOGICAL TRANSITIONS: WHAT WORKS?

This workshop is designed as an experience-sharing event, bringing together four action-research projects that aim at supporting transitions to agroecology-based food systems, and representatives of the SNF/SOR4D program and SDC.

The workshop will focus on practical experiences, asking:

  • What supports for agroecological transitions work?
  • What challenges do we face in supporting agroecological transitions and how to address them?

Each project will briefly present their activities, outcomes and challenges  (15 minutes), followed by extended time for comparisons across projects and open discussion with all participants (45 minutes).
 

PROGRAMME :

  • 9:30am - 10am: Welcome & Introduction
  • 10am - 11am: Social Resilience in the Sundarbans Delta (Bangladesh and India)
  • 11:15am - 12:15pm: Agroecology for Resilient Territories in Senegal
  • 1:30pm - 2:30pm: Scaling Up Agroecology in India
  • 2:45pm - 3:45pm: Agroecological Farms in Ethiopia & Burkina Faso
