The UN climate conference in Paris in December 2015 must reach a new, globally binding climate agreement. One of the most burning questions in the run-up to this conference is whether it is possible to combine economic growth and climate protection.
A new report by the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate of The New Climate Economy was published on July 7, 2015. One of its central conclusions is that there is no dilemma between economic growth and climate action.
To introduce the report Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever, Chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and Member of the Global Commission will deliver a keynote speech. This will be followed by a discussion panel including Simona Scarpaleggia, CEO of IKEA Switzerland, Prof Liliana Andonova, Matthias Bölke, CEO Schneider Electric Switzerland and Ipec Gencsu, Project Manager New Climate Economy Report 2015 contributing their perspective on the subject.
Presentations will begin at 18:00, and will be followed by an aperitif.
Seats are limited, and will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis.
