Please join us for this unique event featuring Marco Lambertini, Director General of WWF International, with an introduction by Claude Martin, Chair of CIES Advisory Board and former Director General of WWF International. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session.

About the lecture

The evidence of the gravity of the interdependent nature and climate crises humanity is facing has never been greater. With this comes a clear understanding of the devastating consequences this is having not only on the natural world, but also on our own lives, economies, health and wellbeing. With such clarity, it is imperative that we finally focus on what’s necessary to set the planet on a sustainable path.

As WWF celebrates its 60th Anniversary, we are working tirelessly with all sectors of society to support a ‘nature positive’ global goal for nature, whereby the world comes together to reverse biodiversity loss and have more nature in 2030 than we had in 2020.  This global goal for nature, in combination with the net zero emission goal for climate, represents the foundation for a safe and just future for all.
