What happens when a key shipping route is blocked, energy prices spike, or political tensions disrupt global supply chains?

Commodity trading sits at the centre of these questions. From energy and metals to transport and logistics, this is a field shaped by geopolitics, markets, infrastructure, and real-time decision-making. When the Ever Given blocked the Suez Canal in 2021, or when current geopolitical conflict affect tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, commodity traders are among the ones working on these frontlines of global disruptions.

Join us for a presentation by Trafigura, one of the world's largest suppliers of commodities, to learn how the sector works and what types of careers exist.

Trafigura operates in over 50 countries worldwide, with a primary headquarters in Singapore and major regional hubs in Geneva, Houston, Montevideo, and Mumbai.

Trafigura has three graduate programmes are designed to nurture future talent across their Commercial Programme (Geneva and other locations),  Development Programme (Geneva and other locations), Technical Programme (Geneva).
