about the event
The discussion will draw on themes explored in Mantoa Mokhachane's recent work, including her latest paper, Medical Students Navigating Space and Power During South Africa’s #FeesMustFall Protests (2015–2016).
The seminar will offer an opportunity to reflect on questions of space, power, equity, and inclusion in sex and gender research through the lens of African values and the philosophy of Ubuntu.
All members of the Gender Centre community, as well as anyone interested in the topic, are warmly welcome to join. The discussion will be moderated by Rama Salla Dieng, Co-Director of the Gender Centre.
