How will artificial intelligence transform the university as a global institution of knowledge, its methods, hierarchies, and sense of purpose? Around the world, universities are rethinking how they produce, share, and govern knowledge as AI reshapes research, teaching, and academic life.
This public discussion brings together an interdisciplinary set of scholars from Asia, Europe, and North America. In short, ten-minute talks, they will offer perspectives on how AI is redefining the university’s intellectual and social mission across the world, followed by a collective exchange with the audience.
Together, the speakers will explore how academic institutions can engage with AI in ways that foster inclusion and critical inquiry while sustaining their public purpose.
