The Middle East remains at the heart of some of the most consequential geopolitical shifts of our time. From ongoing regional conflicts and evolving security alliances to renewed great-power competition involving the United States, China and Russia, developments in the region are reshaping the foundations of the international order and raising critical questions about the future of global governance, international law and multilateral cooperation.
Bringing together leading experts from the Geneva Graduate Institute, this discussion will explore how these transformations are affecting political stability, regional and global power dynamics, and the future of the rules-based international system. Particular attention will be paid to the implications for businesses and economic actors, including energy security, trade routes, supply chains, investment decisions and the management of geopolitical risk.
