On behalf of the research team, it is a pleasure to invite you to the International Conference to present the results of our two years long research project: 'From Words to Deeds: Providing tools for an Effective Engagement of Armed Non State Actors to Improve Humanitarian Protection' funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs and the Humanitarian Aid Department of the European Commission (ECHO) and in partnership with the American University in Cairo, the Geneva Academy of IHL and Human Rights, Geneva Call, the Norwegian Refugee Council, Diakonia, and the Geneva Graduate Institute.
