1st Doctoral Research Share at the Institute

An opportunity for PhD students to showcase and gain additional feedback on early-stage work.

The Graduate Institute Student Association (GISA) and PhD students are organising the First Doctoral Research Share conference to be held on 10 March 2017 in Auditorium A2 at Maison de la Paix.

This conference will offer participants the opportunity for intellectual interchange between the interdisciplinary group of PhD students and the members of the Institute. Within thematic and interdisciplinary panels, second-year PhD students will have the opportunity to present their preliminary thesis dissertation (MPT) and get feedbacks from their panel participants and from the audience. A poster session will also be organised for other PhD students to present their research and a prize will be attributed to the best poster. Faculty participation is heartily welcome, especially to chair the panels.

The conference aims to offer intersections where different ideas, cultures and academic disciplines converge and enrich one another. It hopes to encourage collaborative and critical thinking through which new possibilities can emerge and allow us to engage with humanities in fresh ways. Overall, it will offer students an excellent opportunity to showcase and gain additional feedback on early-stage work in a supportive environment.
