INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM
The University of Geneva and the Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy will host the colloquium “50 Years After the Coup in Argentina: Continuities and Ruptures” on March 13–14 2026, in Geneva.
Call for papers
The event will explore the following themes:
- The relationship between today’s democratic erosion and the legacy of the dictatorship
- Social and cultural dynamics in the construction of memory
- Contemporary challenges in the face of denialism and the resurgence of the far right
- Perspectives from Argentine exile and migration in Geneva
We invite PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers whose work relates to themes 1, 2, or 3 to present their research, either in person or online.
