The Graduate Institute is launching its second call for seed money applications.
After a successful first call in May 2017, the Institute’s Research Committee had awarded seed money grants to four faculty members of the Institute: Filipe Calvão, Yvan Droz, Yi Huang and Melanie Kolbe, for a total amount of CHF 19,250.
The call is open to full-time faculty – other than full professors – of the Graduate Institute with multiyear contracts. Seed money grants are designed to help junior faculty members to jump-start research projects by conducting preparatory work and exploring potential collaborations. Awardees are expected to submit at least one proposal for external funding within one year of the start of the award.
Applications, including an abstract, a project description, a detailed outline of the activities to be carried out with the seed money, a plan for extramural financial support, a budget and a CV, should be submitted to the Research Office, who remains at your disposal to answer questions.
Submission deadline: 1 November 2017.
