This year’s Careers Forum Connexion will take place from 21-23 March 2012 at the Graduate Institute’s Villa Barton. Prestigious international organisations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations Development and Environment programmes and Food and Agriculture Organization, companies like UBS, Credit Suisse, McKinsey and Co. as well as NGOs such as the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development are already signing up to participate in the event.
Due to the Institute’s links with International Geneva, Connexion is one of the careers forums with the largest representations of international organisations and NGOs in the world. It is a three-day event where the Institute’s students and recent graduates meet with employers to learn more about job and internship openings, find out about career paths and specific organisations, and network with potential professional contacts. Last year there were nearly 100 employers and 400 job seekers.
“The Connexion Forum is always well organised and the students from the Institute are always keen and well-prepared”, according to Marco J. Emery, ICRC delegate.
For Dorothée de Loustal of KPMG the event is an excellent chance to meet with highly qualified potential candidates. “KPMG is very interested in the Institute’s students because of their multi-disciplinarity and strong knowledge of international organisations, NGOs and the public sector".
Organisations and companies have different options for their presence at the event. Partners enjoy high visibility in all of Connexion’s printed and electronic promotional material in addition to other special privileges. All participants can have access to rooms for presentations and interviews as well as stands where they can meet with the Institute’s students and recent graduates.
This year Connexion has a new website and a Facebook page where participants and partners will be announced and more.
