The CDHM held a two-day AI Training on January 14 - 15 for its affiliates and guests organised by Francesco Siri of the École nationale des chartes – PSL. In addition, to Francesco, the training’s speakers comprised Aurélien Conraux and Anna Chantalat presenting together on Day one; with Florian Cafiero and Marion Charpier presenting individually on Day two.
More than 20 participants from a wide range of roles and disciplines (social scientists, students, library professionals, and archivists) left the training with a more clear understanding of: the principles of AI and recognizing different types of AI; the legal and ethical issues presented by AI in its applications; a wider exploration of uses of AI for cultural data; the applications of AI in archives. All participants received a certificate of completion.
