CDHM Affiliate AI Training: "Introduction a l'Intelligence Artificielle et a ses Applications aux Archives"

CDHM affiliate and staff trainings are occasionally organised by the Centre to provide its network with cohesive information and skills on emerging topics involving the Digital Humanities and archival material, research and methodologies.

The CDHM held a two-day AI Training on January 14 - 15 for its affiliates and guests organised by Francesco Siri of the École nationale des chartes – PSL. In addition, to Francesco, the training’s speakers comprised Aurélien Conraux and Anna Chantalat presenting together on Day one; with Florian Cafiero and Marion Charpier presenting individually on Day two.

More than 20 participants from a wide range of roles and disciplines (social scientists, students, library professionals, and archivists) left the training with a more clear understanding of: the principles of AI and recognizing different types of AI; the legal and ethical issues presented by AI in its applications; a wider exploration of uses of AI for cultural data; the applications of AI in archives. All participants received a certificate of completion.
