The CDHM heard from Anthony Masure, Associate Professor and Head of Research at the Geneva School of Art and Design (HEAD – Geneva , HES-SO), on the topic of knowledge as an integral part of design and the challenges of knowledge-sharing interfaces, including ways to share them with as many people as possible.
Posing the question: If we understand research as the production of new knowledge, what should we be inquiring about the way in which this knowledge is visually “formed”? In other words, what would we gain by not polarizing production and communication but by studying them in an intertwined way? His presentation explored various propositions for the CDHM, including ways to create a cohesive visual identity, ways in which to innovatively present archival data, and the importance of multiplicity in its web environment. Follow-up on these proposals are underway at the CDHM in 2025.
