On 6 June 2025, the CDHM welcomed presenters Nicolas Stenger and Frédéric Glorieux on the topic of 'Édition numérique et exploration textuelle : la plateforme Rougemont 2.0', in which discussion centered on using digital tools and novel methodologies to explore issues common to complete works of an author (in this case, Denis de Rougemont), which lead to new understandings of the genesis of texts and the author's approach, including, for example, textual analyses coded for terms and names of individuals as well as mapping word use and choice over time. You can find the abstracts of this talk and further information about the speakers below.
Abstract (translated):
Developed by researchers from the University of Geneva, the Rougemont 2.0 project makes available online all the work of the Swiss writer Denis de Rougemont (1906-1985), taking advantage of the possibilities offered by digital publishing. Designed differently from a traditional critical edition, it is an infrastructure conceived both as a dissemination platform via an online edition structured according to the XML-TEI standard, and as a textual analysis laboratory thanks to specific instruments (table, co-occurrence networks, word vectors, chronologies, reading suggestions...). The project also relies on a synchronized Zotero bibliographic database, and a collaborative forge for managing editorial data. Through this presentation, we will return to the editorial and technical choices that guided this project, on the pedagogical and scientific uses it allows, and on its potential as a prototype for other literary or intellectual corpus.
