Executive Education hosts Senior Managers from China

Executive Education, in partnership with Hanqing Advanced Institute of Economics and Finance at Renmin University of China (Hanqing Institute), organised and hosted an intensive 2-week customised executive learning and development programme for 25 senior managers from one of the largest banks in China.

The learning programme was implemented in Geneva for 10 days in November 2015.  It developed participants’ knowledge and competencies in the global and Swiss banking and financial systems, with a specific focus on the topics of wealth management and personal banking. The programme offered a wide in-depth perspective of major issues at stake in these areas--including changing regulations and implications for the future of private banking.

Speakers included faculty of the Institute as well as practitioners from across Swiss Financial sector in Geneva.  Participants had the opportunity to meet with senior practitioners from major Swiss banks in Geneva, including UBS and Lombard Odier, as well as with high-ranking officials from the Swiss National Bank and the Swiss State Secretariat for International Financial Matters in Bern.  To conclude the training, participants were guided through a simulation exercise to enhance their decision-making skills in the area of personal banking.

Session topics ranged from the International and European Financial and Banking Systems to Financial Connections between Switzerland and China; from Personal Banking and Wealth Management to Sustainable Finance.
