Read the Fall 2025 ASA Section Newsletter interview with Hossein Cheaito, a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the Geneva Graduate Institute, whose research explores the intersection of debt, gender, and sexuality in Lebanon through a relational economic sociology perspective.

Hossein holds an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Sussex and a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut. He is an alumnus of the Joint UK Chevening-Said Foundation scholarship program. He is also part of the International Association for Feminist Economics and a member of its MENA committee.
