Information Sessions on CUSO Doctoral Schools and Skills Courses

These sessions will be held at Maison de la paix on 8 December 2016.


Two information sessions on the doctoral schools and training opportunities for doctoral students offered by the Conference of Western Switzerland’s Universities (CUSO) will be held at Maison de la paix on 8 December 2016.

CUSO organises both career skills courses (e.g. on scientific writing, career planning or scientific communication) and specialised programmes (e.g. in contemporary history, law, political science, anthropology, sociology or gender). Participation for PhD students of the Graduate Institute in CUSO activities and programmes is free. Programmes and courses are both in English and French.

A first session for doctoral students will be held in Auditorium A2, from 10:30 to 11:45, with the following programme:

  • 10:30–10:50 – Introduction of CUSO and its offer for doctoral students by Denis Billotte, Secretary General of CUSO
  • 10:50–11:15 – Round-table meeting with Fenneke Reysoo, Director of the CUSO Doctoral Programme in Gender Studies, and students of the Institute who have participated in CUSO activities
  • 11:15–11:45 – Questions and answers

A second session for faculty members, with the participation of Denis Billotte, Secretary General of CUSO, will be held in Petal 1, room P1-547, from 14:00 to 14:45.
