An international database to help fund research

RESEARCHconnect is now available to the Institute’s community.

RESEARCHconnect International, a database providing information on thousands of funding opportunities, is now available to all Graduate Institute researchers, faculty and students. More details with Ghislaine Wharton, in charge of projects at the Research Office.

Why has the Institute subscribed to RESEARCHconnect?

Fundraising is extremely time-consuming and our resources at the Research Office are rather limited. With this tool, researchers will gain direct access to an additional source of information on finding opportunites, besides our already disseminated information. This allows us to focus on other more value-added services such as direct support for project submissions.

What are its main features?

RESEARCHconnect mainly covers international financing and therefore does not include national funding instruments. You will find types of funding open to all researchers worldwide such as scholarships, funding for symposiums, conferences and projects, etc. The database is updated and expanded on a regular basis by RESEARCHconnect’s staff.

Is it easy to access and use?

Yes, quite easy and intuitive. Furthermore, we provide the neophyte with a user guide showing how to log in and perform a simple search. It should be noted, however, that the database cannot be accessed without an e-mail address and a password. Graduate Institute’s researchers will get all necessary information from the department or centre/programme to which they are affiliated – and they should not hesitate to contact us in case of access or user issues.
