New Agreement between the Graduate Institute and UNHCR

It seeks to promote research cooperation, executive education, internship and career opportunities.

The Graduate Institute and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday 4 November 2015. This agreement seeks to promote research cooperation, executive education, internship and career opportunities.

The signature of this MoU reinforces the very good working relations between UNHCR and the Graduate Institute's Global Migration Centre (GMC). The UNHCR granted funds to a research project on Afghan asylum-seekers and refugees in Europe led by Professor Alessandro Monsutti. The Global Migration Centre also co-organised with UNHCR an expert roundtable on developing guidance on onward movement of asylum seekers and refugees. And students regularly benefit from the GMC/UNHCR cooperation through internships and Applied Research Seminars.
